Form of Play and Starting Times
The form of play and start times will be agreed in advance between the Organiser and the Club. Play will be from the yellow tees.

    Dress on the Course
A good standard of dress is expected. Golf shoes must be worn.  In no circumstances may jeans, training shoes, collarless shirts or tracksuits be worn. Tailored shorts are allowed when worn with knee-length, or predominantly white sports socks (not trainer socks).

    Golf Etiquette
All members of the Golf Society must have a bona fide handicap certificate or provide evidence of competency and must be fully aware of golf etiquette.

Priority on the Course and slow play
In the absence of Special Rules, two-ball matches have precedence and are entitled to pass, any three-ball or four-ball match.  If a match fails to keep its place on the Course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it should allow the match following to pass. Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not easily be found. Do not search for five minutes before doing so.

Wide-wheeled trolleys are permitted (weather allowing).  Motorised buggies are not allowed on the Course except in
exceptional circumstances, in all such cases permission must be obtained from the Secretary or Administrator in advance of arriving at the Club. On arrival a valid insurance certificate must be presented and the player must sign a disclaimer.

Before leaving a bunker, carefully fill up and smooth over all footprints. After use, bunker rakes should be left in the centre of the bunker.

    Divots must be replaced.

    Pitch Marks and Spike Marks
Any damage to the putting green should be carefully repaired using a tool designed for the purpose. Damage caused by
golf shoe spikes should be repaired on completion of the hole.

    Paths and Steps
It may mean an extra few yards, but keep to paths and always use steps to and from tees, where such steps are provided.
Even if you are carrying your golf bag, use the paths and steps.

Greens should never be used as ‘straight line’ paths, even if you are carrying your golf bag.

    Greens Staff
The maintenance of the Course is proceeding at all times, but the greens staff will interfere with your golf as little as possible. However there may be times when they will be working on a hole, which you are playing and your patience in those circumstances will be very much appreciated. The greens staff will have priority at all times.

    The Clubhouse
The Clubhouse has changing rooms for both ladies and gentlemen. Trolleys must not be taken into the locker rooms.  On the first floor are situated a mixed lounge, snooker room and dining room.
